The Haig Course opened on March 4, 1980 and was designed by George Fazio and Tom Fazio. The Haig Course was renamed the Fazio Course after a renovation by Tom Fazio II.
The Squire Course opened on October 30, 1981 and was designed by George Fazio and Tom Fazio.
The Champion Course opened on November 17, 1981 and was designed by George Fazio and Tom Fazio. The Champion Course played host to the 1983 Ryder Cup, the 1987 PGA Championship, and the Senior PGA Championship for 19 years, from 1982-2000. The course underwent a renovation in December 2002 by Jack Nicklaus, and in 2007 became the home of The Honda Classic. Jack Nicklaus redesigned the golf course in 2014.
The Palmer Course opened on February 28, 1984 and was designed by Arnold Palmer.
The Stonewall Golf Club opened in November 1984 and was designed by Karl Litten. It was purchased by PGA National on August 28, 1988 and was renamed the Estates Course.
