The original PGA National Golf Club (1964–1973) was the BallenIsles Country Club.
The Champions Course (now the East Course at BallenIsles) hosted the 1971 PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship (1966–1973), and the World Cup Championship. This golf course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee.
The East Course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee.
The South was redesigned by Gene Bates.
