Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course opened on January 10, 1955 and was designed by Red Lawrence.
In 1967, the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course land was partially sold off for the current site of the Pompano Citi Centre. The footprint of 6 holes were reused in the creation of the new 36-hole facility called the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course - Palms and Pines Golf Courses.
The Palms and Pines Golf Courses at Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course opened in 1967 and were designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge.
