In 1998, Wayne Huizenga purchased Rolling Hills Golf and Country Club and many changes were instituted:
- Jim Applegate was the golf course renovation architect and Raymond Floyd consulted.
- The 27-hole golf course was returned to 18 holes using the footprint of the original 18.
- The 3rd set of 9 holes was turned into a practice facility on the northern section.
- The 3rd set of 9 holes was turned into a new 9-hole par 3 course on the south side.
- When the golf course was unveiled in April 1999, it was called Grande Oaks Golf Club.
In 2006, Nova Southeastern University acquired Grande Oaks Golf Club. At that time, the Grande Oaks Golf Club - Par 3 Course was closed and used as practice facilities.
